State GST Bill tabled in Uttar Pradesh assembly

The State GST Bill was tabled in the opening session of the 17th Uttar Pradesh assembly on Monday with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath describing the new tax regime as a "welfare measure". The chief minister tabled the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill in the House when it reassembled after Governor Ram Naik’s address to the joint sitting of the state legislature. This is the first assembly session after the BJP government led by Yogi Adityanath came to power last month after a landslide victory in the state assembly elections. International Court of Justice completes hearing in Kulbhushan Jadhav Case

International Court of Justice today heard arguments from legal representatives of both India and Pakistan in case of Kulbhushan Jadhav.

ICJ may deliver it’s final order in few days which will be binding on both the parties and has no provision of appeal.

Fate of Indian officer Kulbhushan Jadhav depends on this order who is of now is facing death penalty in Pakistan on charges of espionage.
